Brian L. Eisenbarth, CFA
President & CIO
Brian is a Co-Founder of Lava Creek Capital Management. His career in the investment industry spans 30 years managing active value-oriented portfolios for institutional investors including foundations, endowment funds and insurance companies. He has also advised affluent families regarding various aspects of wealth management and charitable giving. Prior to co-founding Lava Creek Capital Management, Brian held past positions as Chief Investment Officer, Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Davidson Investment Advisors. Additionally, he was a Portfolio Manager at Smith Barney and a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Nollenberger Capital Partners. Brian earned a B.S. in Finance from Utah State University and a M.B.A. in Finance with an emphasis in Investments from Golden Gate University. Brian is a member of the CFA Institute and Securities Analysts of San Francisco.
Konrad J. Kuciej
Managing Director
Konrad joined Lava Creek Capital Management in 2011 as Director responsible for business development, trading and providing investment input for our Value Opportunities Strategy, fixed-income and hedging strategies. His career in the investment industry spans 24 years working with high net worth individuals and institutional investors providing valuable investment advice with a focus on risk mitigation strategies. He started his career at Sondag Trading, a derivatives specialist and market making firm on the Pacific Stock Exchange. Prior to joining LCCM, Konrad was Vice President of Corporate and Venture Services at Merriman Curhan Ford & Co. He has also held past positions as Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch and Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns where he was a junior partner on one of the firm’s largest fixed-income teams.
Jeffrey G. Eisenbarth
Marketing Consultant
Jeffrey is an Independent Institutional Marketing Consultant acting under a Solicitation Agreement with Lava Creek Capital Management. He has 38 years of higher education senior administration experience at public research universities and private colleges. Experience includes working with public foundations and private endowments at University of Idaho, Washington State University, Berea College, Willamette University and Rollins College. He earned a BS in Business Management and Master's of Business Administration, University of Idaho. Recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as top CFO in non-profit enterprise. Received Emeritus Retirement status from Board of Trustees of Rollins College. Awarded highest honorary declaration medal by Rollins College upon retirement. Presenter at NACUBO Endowment Forum in New York City identifying best practices in Foundation and Endowment management. Recently consulted with University of Central Florida Foundation assisting with best practice in Foundation management.
